The Pellegrino family is a family of artisans with a long-standing tradition.
The modern history of the company began in Ravenna in 1965 with the dream of a young founder, Domenico Pellegrino, and thanks to its professionalism and quality, the Pellegrino company quickly established solid roots, eventually becoming the current Rapid brand, an internationally successful brand that today boasts more than 60 years of experience gained in the production and installation of protective systems across various sectors.

The founder’s professional philosophy has remained unchanged over time, passed down from father to son, now in its third generation and looking forward to future generations.
Following repeated requests from a customer, in 1995 his son, Marco Pellegrino, undertook his first project to design and install a flood protection system—partly to solve a personal problem. This first project was followed by many others, thanks in part to the challenges facing the Ravenna area—such as land subsidence, flooding from the sea, and the municipal requirement to protect indoor spaces across much of the region.
This led to a shift in direction: the design of a new barrier featuring a simple yet effective system and excellent performance.
Hours and hours of work in the workshop and laboratory to obtain the first patent—crowned by the certification of the sample tested at Istituto Giordano S.p.A.—will be followed by many others, including those from TÜV Italia srl.
